Fitness Club Tycoon

iOSAndroid

Hello Games Team · Free, ads and optional in-app purchases

The closest match: a gym business that grows into a chain.

Hello Games Team’s gym tycoon asks you to “set up a team of excellent trainers, turn this place into a first-class gym.” Its listing names “treadmills, battle ropes, swimming, calisthenics, boxing and a wealth of other sports,” plus food, drinks and leisure services such as a spa. The goal is to “launch a chain full of stores all over the world.”

Of the games here, it keeps the most of Idle Fitness Gym Tycoon: equipment, trainers, customers and a gym that keeps growing. Google Play lists more than 10 million downloads.

Best for

Players who want another gym to build, with trainers and a chain to expand.

Weak spot

Free with ads and in-app purchases; the App Store version also sells weekly and monthly subscriptions.

Verdict: The first gym game to try.
#2

Idle GYM Sports

Android

Hello Games Team · Free, ads and optional in-app purchases

A gym with halls for archery, basketball, boxing and football.

Also from Hello Games Team. Here the gym holds several sports: you “expand and improve the Archery Hall, Basketball Hall, Boxing Ring, Football Field and so on,” spend on turnstiles and staff, and “attract elite sportspeople to make your gym more famous.” Its listing says you can “explore diverse sites all around the world to build your unique gym empire.”

It sits between a gym tycoon and a sports tycoon, which makes it a natural next step after Idle Fitness Gym Tycoon.

Best for

Android players who want a gym with several sports under one roof.

Weak spot

Android only; we found no App Store version. Free with ads and in-app purchases, and last updated in October 2025.

Verdict: The gym-plus-sports pick on Android.

Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon

Our gameiOSAndroidMac

Kano Games · Free, optional in-app purchases

Our game: a weightlifting gym and 20+ other sports venues to run.

Our game. Instead of one gym, you run a town’s sports venues. You start with Touchdown Center, a football venue, then open basketball courts, hockey arenas, golf, tennis, boxing, swimming, a weightlifting gym, a Grand Prix circuit and more: over twenty sports in all.

The loop will feel familiar. You buy customers for each venue to raise its income, and you automate a venue so it keeps earning while the app is closed. Automation asks for a named character at a set level plus cash; at Touchdown Center in Week 3, that is Happy the Mascot at level 1 and 2,000 cash. New levels arrive every week, and Main and Mini events run each week with global and friends leaderboards. A comic-strip story runs alongside. Free on iPhone and Android.

Best for

Gym tycoon players who want the same upgrade-and-automate loop across many sports, with a story and weekly events.

Weak spot

You run venues, not a gym floor: you do not place equipment or schedule classes, and customers and cash reset each week (Sports Stars, cards and Golden Tickets carry over). Google Play labels some purchases as including random items.

Verdict: The pick for more sports than one gym can hold.
#4

Idle Boxing Tycoon

iOSAndroid

LEYO · Free, ads and optional in-app purchases

Grow a boxing gym and train fighters.

LEYO’s tycoon has you “start with a small training space and expand it into a world-class boxing empire.” Its listing says “your gym is packed with barbells, dumbbells, punching bags, and cutting-edge fitness equipment,” and you “train fighters, improve their skills, and lead them to championship glory.”

The shared appeal is gym equipment and expansion. The difference is the goal: fighters and championships rather than members and classes.

Best for

Players who want a gym tycoon with a combat-sports goal.

Weak spot

Free with ads and in-app purchases, and the App Store lists loot boxes. Google Play shows 50K+ downloads, so it is a newer, smaller game.

Verdict: The boxing gym pick. Our games like Idle Boxer list has more fight games.
#5

Sports City Tycoon

iOSAndroid

Pixo Games · Free, optional in-app purchases

Build a whole sports town.

PIXO GAMES’ tycoon moves from one building to a town. You “upgrade your stadiums to increase its seat capacity,” “build new attractions” and “bring famous sportsmen to your city.” Google Play lists more than 5 million downloads, and the App Store listing says you “earn cash even when you’re offline.”

Choose it if expanding outward appeals more than improving a single gym.

Best for

Players who want to grow a town of sports buildings.

Weak spot

Free with ads and in-app purchases, and the App Store lists loot boxes. The focus is the town rather than gym equipment or trainers.

Verdict: The sports-town pick. See our games like Sports City Tycoon for more.

How this list was put together

Idle Fitness Gym Tycoon is about one thing: growing a fitness business. Its listing has you add equipment, expand the premises, hire and promote coaches and keep customers happy. We judged each alternative on how close the business loop is, how much of it is about sport and fitness, how much there is to expand into, and what it costs on a phone.

Facts about each game come from its current App Store and Google Play listings, checked on October 9, 2026. Kano makes Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon (this site). It is marked “Our game” and ranked where those questions put it.

How these were compared: we reviewed official store listings, developer information, player reviews and genre conventions, and applied the same criteria to every game. We have not independently play-tested every title here.
