Games Like Idle Eleven: Keep the Team, or Run the Venue?

Idle Eleven mixes an idle economy with a soccer club you recruit for and train. If you want more of that, the alternatives split two ways: games that keep the team and the players, and games that keep the idle economy but move you into the owner’s box. This page compares both, with our own venue game in the second group.

What you want to keep

Idle Eleven (Gaminho) calls itself a soccer tycoon. Its store listing promises four things: recruiting and training players, quick swipe-and-tap matches, stadium upgrades, and idle cash that arrives even while you are offline.

That is four different things, and the game you should pick next depends on which of them you want to keep:

  • The players. Recruiting, upgrading and fielding a squad.
  • The matches. Something to do with your thumbs during a game.
  • The idle economy. Income that builds up while the app is closed.
  • The sport. Soccer specifically, rather than sport in general.

If you want the first two, stay with a team game. If the third is what hooked you and the fourth is negotiable, the venue games below are the other branch.

Four games side by side

Game You manage Match controls Idle earnings Sports Price
Idle Eleven (baseline) A soccer club: players, training, stadium Swipe and tap Yes, offline too Soccer Free, optional in-app purchases
Idle Soccer Story A soccer club with an RPG layer on the players (the listing calls it a Tycoon RPG) Swipe and tap Yes, offline too Soccer Free, optional in-app purchases
Pocket League Story 2 A soccer club: tactics and formations before the match None; simulated No Soccer Free, ads and in-app purchases
Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon (our game) Venues and the business around them; no team None Yes, once a venue is automated 20+ sports, football first Free, optional in-app purchases

Details for the three other games come from their US App Store and Google Play listings in September 2026.

Staying with the players: Idle Soccer Story and Pocket League Story 2

Idle Soccer Story (Gaminho) is the closest sibling: the same studio, a soccer club, the same swipe-and-tap matches, idle cash that keeps arriving while you are offline, and an RPG layer on the players themselves (its listing calls it a Tycoon RPG). Free with optional in-app purchases. If Idle Eleven’s recruitment and upgrades were the best part, this is the natural next step.

Pocket League Story 2 (Kairosoft) keeps the club and drops the idling. It is a management sim: you build the club and its town, set the lineup, and watch simulated matches over a season. Nothing happens while the app is closed. Choose it if you want more management and are fine giving up the idle income. It is free with ads and in-app purchases on both stores, with a one-time ad removal.

Both are soccer only. If the sport is part of what you want to keep, these are the two.

Switching to the venue: Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon

Our game keeps the idle economy and changes what you are managing. There is no squad. You own the venues: buy customers for a stadium to raise its income, automate it so it earns while the app is closed, then reinvest into the next venue and the next sport. There are no transfers, no formations and no controlled matches; the sport sets what the venue looks like and how its crowd behaves, not what your thumbs do.

What you get instead is breadth. Your first build is Touchdown Center, an American football venue, and 20+ sports open as you progress, soccer among them, alongside basketball, hockey, baseball, cricket and Grand Prix racing. Weeks and cities work as the prestige layer: customers and cash reset when you move on, and Sports Stars, cards and Golden Tickets are kept. New levels arrive every week and weekly events run alongside the main game.

On offline earnings the two games are closer than they look. Idle Eleven collects idle cash between sessions; in ours an automated venue keeps earning while the app is closed and a Welcome Back panel shows what it made. You play online in ours, with events and leaderboards against other players.

It is free with optional purchases and rewarded ads. The stadium builder game page explains the loop in detail and the beginner guide covers the first hour.

Choose by activity and payment model

  • You want to keep recruiting and upgrading players, with idle income: Idle Soccer Story.
  • You want deeper club management and do not need idle income: Pocket League Story 2.
  • You want the idle income and a bigger business, and can let the squad go: Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon.

All four are on iOS and Android. Idle Eleven, Idle Soccer Story and our game are free with optional purchases; Pocket League Story 2 is free with ads and in-app purchases.

FAQ

Questions people ask about Idle Eleven alternatives

Is there a game like Idle Eleven with more sports?

Our Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon covers 20+ sports, but it changes what you manage: venues instead of a team. If you want several sports and still want to recruit players, we have not found a close match; the multi-sport idlers are venue games.

Does Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon have soccer?

Yes, as a venue. Soccer League is its own stadium with its own customers and costs, separate from the American football venue you start with. You own the venue; there is no soccer team to pick or matches to control.

Which of these earn while the app is closed?

Idle Eleven and Idle Soccer Story collect idle cash between sessions, according to their listings. In Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon an automated venue keeps earning while the app is closed. Pocket League Story 2 is a management sim and only progresses while you play.

Is Idle Sports Stadium Tycoon a soccer manager?

No. It is a sports venue tycoon. You buy and upgrade stadiums across 20+ sports and automate them so they earn while the app is closed. There are no lineups, transfers or match controls.
