“Sports game” covers two very different things on a phone: games where you play the match, and games where you run the team or the business. This list includes both and says which each one is. We judged every entry on how well it plays on a phone, how deep it goes, how much of the sport it covers, and what it costs to keep playing.

Every game here is live on iPhone and Android today; we left out sports games that have shut down. Facts come from their current App Store and Google Play listings.
